Kitne ajeeb rishtey hai yaha pe......

For a minute , just close your eyes and think of all the relations you have in life----what flashes to your mind is family, favorite relatives, boy/girlfriends, few best friends..i believe these are the few handful of people we tag as “important”

In this post I do not talk about these important people, coz we already know their value. to be honest these are the people who hold the power to make us happy and to leave us crying…(sometimes I really feel sorry for the people who after breakup, don’t even talk to their ex..i mean-once you shared each and everything..and today, don’t even want to face each other..! or even the best friends.. who after a few misunderstandings, can never get the lost relationship or atleast the same bonding as before!!)

No---here I talk about the unnoticed, un acknowledged, infact not so important relations, we hardly chose for ourselves..These are the people who do not expect anything from you-yet unexpectedly make you happy, they do not hold any special place in your lives, their absence may not even be noticed, yet their presence makes you comfortable.

Am sure most of you don’t get what I am saying, and have already termed me as insane!!

Do you have any “hi-hello” friends? few ppl whom you hardly ever talked to, yet whenever you meet them-whatever your mood maybe-you smile at each other. thats your smile friend! who without your knowledge made u happy in all your moods.

Or do u have any fruit-vendor who suggests you to take banana instead of mangoes, coz he believes they are better. or the shopkeeper, who tells you which colour suits you better. Or even a bus driver-who hardly even knows your name, but knows the stop from where you board the bus, and even waits for you, if u are running late.

Or even a very old buddy, meeting after long time-who asks your whereabouts! he offcourse is not affected by you..but is still concerned..or a frn, whom you hardly ever thought of comes up to u and asks if you are all right coz he had been noticing your missing smile, broken leg or something of that sorts!

Do you have any special topics, which can be discussed with special ppl only..like I had a frn, with whom I talked only and only about a particular teacher, another frn with whom I talked only in the assembly, another person who read all my blogs regularly,and commented upon them..they are hardly my frns, yet they are important.

There are so many such ppl, ”ajeeb rishtey!!” strange bonds!!

Just for one day, think beyond the imp ppl , and concentrate on these ppl, who touch your lives, spare even a minute out of their own busy life and affect you!!

You will find loads of such ppl, acknowledge them!!And look at the smiles you get from them!! Suddenly your handful of imp ppl list will increase drastically!!

never take someone for granted
hold every person close to your heart
coz later you might realise
that you lost a diamond,
while you were busy collecting stones!!!

p.s.—it ws just the effect of this lovely song I heard,,I do not think this post made much sense. do lemme knw if it did:-P..

HOLD ON ..GIVE UP???

There comes a time in life, when you have to let go off all the pointless drama and the people who create it..and surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget all the bad and focus solely on the good, afterall life is too short to afford time for sorting out the long unending misunderstandings, to give unasked justifications---some people are just not meant to stay in our lives forever, their role is limited to a few happy chapters, and then the lessons they teach you are to stay forever.

Its absolutely fair to leave things unattended, to leave things on time and fate after a few initial days of struggle (only in case of relations!!)..people cant be same forever-the freshness of a few relations soon fades away—with passing time, if one feels there are more burdens ,baggages or nostalgia associated with that name-its best to take a “time off”..its bad!!its difficult!!painful..but it’s the best!!

Life is not just meant to make others happy, spare time for your own self..and those who truly care for you will rather find happiness in your joys..to waste all your time and energy in trying and retrying over a highly entangled thread of relationships is not sensible..even a mother has to leave its dead kid and move on!!keeping a dead body, merely out of affection or in memory of good times of togetherness, makes it rotten..and rotten things ain’t good for health!!

Live freely..do what your heart feels !!Be surrounded with people who make you happy –world is a small place..all who leave may return back in future..and if they don’t they weren’t supposed to be there forever..

Live only for today!!live only for happiness!!dont spoil your present crying about the past or worrying about the future!!

Sometimes I wonder how dynamic life is! Time changes everything about it! As we evolve –we mature-our priorities change-our feelings change-our ambitions change-our aspirations change-our circumstances change-our friends change-our relations change-our perspective changes-our nature changes-we change!!

What remains is the experience-what matters is how you felt at that time-how you reacted and made people feel about you at your dire situations. What appears to be the topmost priory( in all matters ranging from people, to goals, to commitments)..may appear to be cliché another day,and even childishness the day after!

Alas, we often react keeping in mind only the  present-we think we are the only hit target by god, and that we alone are going through this phase..when no body can understand us..we spend tym in tension, sleepless nights, irritated minds, with quarrels, those close to us, are the worst sufferers!!

Tym will pass!! Dusk and dawn follow each other, what matters is how you spend that tym- no wonder, its difficult to keep your cool..but don’t do something permanently stupid, when you are temporarily upset..

Mind your words! Mind your actions! Coz with time, problems get sorted, it always is so..But the losses done due to reckless behavior, or tantrums, may hurt your dear ones!!

So..Next time..When you are upset over anything..Smile..n say..”it will pass!” n thank the person who stays by your side. Behave nicely to him..keep your cool..Especially when things are temporary out of control!!

temples!!!

Recently I returned from a trip to udaipur-the city of lakes and mountabu-the only hill station in rajasthan-the desert!

Both are lovely places-bestowed by all the beauty of nature in the form of aravali hills and lakes.and blessed with humanmade attractions like the temples,forts,palaces and gardens.the trip was really enjoyable-yet made me ponder about the pathetic condition of temples in our country.

I donot intend to offend anyone-so those people need not read further, whose religious faith overshadows the practical irony I wish to point out.

As soon as I reached the city-I was surrounded by a bunch of people, we call “guides”..Who were all willing to spill out the already mugged (semi-cooked up) stories about the city, with spices..yet they would not utter anything unless you promised to pay them the price they demanded. And dare you bargain-they had a union!so u better agree to their quoted prices.

The first destination was “gurushikahar” temple at abu-the place was popular-thus all throughout the way, there were stalls and restaurants, where even a bisleri would cost 25 bucks. Its believed that giving others water to drink is a good thing-but these people didnot have the conscience to sell even at mrp-forget about “for the free” thing! The focus was more on eating than on worshipping.

Then followed a trip to “achalgarh” temple –the story says that the shaking earth was controlled by lord Shiva by sending his left foot’s thumb here. that thumb is worshipped at this place .i wonder if the thumb had the name of lord Shiva written on it-or else how would anyone be sure that its thumb-that too left thumb of only lord shiva,and none other god!!or was the story cooked up by someone ages ago, and has been told for generations now! (srry but despite many arguments the guide couldnot convince me about its authenticity!)

Then was a visit to “dilwara jain temples”-the place where the beautiful carvings and handworks on marble could win your hearts. but then the “beware of pickpockets” sign would keep you in your senses.

The sight of a poor couple fighting with the shoe stalls persons was a pity. I wonder if people can really steal your shoes in a temple-if yes-then what’s the use of worshipping if you can’t have a clear soul even in temple. And if no-then why we need to have shoe stalls at such places for safety…is it not the money making idea of stall owner.

Then was a visit to the “nathdwara temple”-a place of immense popularity. its believed that the lord here grants whatever you ask for! I wonder what decides this “manyata” factor! Suppose I ask for the same thing in three temples-and the wish is granted-should the credit be given to three of those gods, or to just “god”-coz its believed that god is one! Or to my hardwork!

Another thing I can never understand-people say ”if this wish comes true-I”ll offer Prasad of this sum of money—is it that you are trying to bribe god too!!:-P

On the entrance of a temple-a beggar blessed me and my brother that if we gave him the money ”bhagwaan hamari Jodi banae rakhega!!”..so we could not stop laughing(needless to mention that we did not offer that beggar anything).but I really liked the style of begging..Definitely the newly weds would give him a lot!

A person came to ask if we were interested in special darshan! on asking what that meant(we thought the god would personally visit us in our dreams like in movies!!)..but he told that on paying 250 bugs extra we could get a  back door entry to temple and special prasad, thus avoiding all the crowd. so now god is also more accessible to rich people. thanks to the commercialization !!

This visit made me realize the different activities in temples-everything but worshipping!!

You can see people bargain for reducing the cost of Prasad! People fighting with poor rickshawpuller for even 10 bugs, without considering the hardwork by him, people staring at girls, chatting on mobiles. admist all this lies the belief that this visit would clean your souls-but ask yourself-is the visit worth anything-if you can’t behave justly even at such places and maintain the decorum and charm of such places. Its time we understand the difference between regular tourist hangouts and temples and behave accordingly.
